Pott 29 – The iconic cutlery by Hans Schwippert

A true design classic from 1968: With Pott 29, architect Hans Schwippert created a cutlery set that still looks radically modern today. The design deliberately breaks with traditional notions of form and function, focusing on maximum reduction – and maximum use.

The 4-piece set consists of: dinner fork, dinner knife, dinner spoon & cake fork

The 24-piece set consists of: 6 x dinner forks, 6 x dinner knives, 6 x dinner spoons & 6 x cake forks.

The 30-piece set consists of: 6 x dinner forks, 6 x dinner knives, 6 x dinner spoons & 6 x cake forks + dessert fork (not pictured)

Minimalist design with maximum functionality

The series comprises just five pieces, but each is multifunctional. Every element fulfills several tasks, eliminating the need for additional cutlery. The result is a timeless set that is equally at home in everyday use and in professional restaurants.

High-quality material: 18/10 stainless steel

Pott 29 is made of 18/10 stainless steel, known for its durability, corrosion resistance, and elegant shine. Ideal for everyday use – whether in a private home or, as in our case, at Café Tiergarten in Berlin's Hansaviertel district.

The design originates from a groundbreaking era in which the Hansaviertel district became an architectural symbol of modern design. We use Pott 29 cutlery daily in the café – cutlery that impresses not only with its design but also with its history.

Pre-order – delivery in summer 2026

This cutlery is produced exclusively as a special order. Due to the individual manufacturing process, we currently only offer Pott 29 for pre-order. The last date for an order is the end of March each year.

Delivery will take place in June/July and depends on the quantity ordered and the production sequence.

Our tip: The cake fork / coffee spoon is also available individually and ready for immediate dispatch or can be picked up directly at the café.
